{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.750","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.750","heading":"Public health taxing district created in counties not electing to create same","body":"-- Officers.\n(1) It is the intent of this section and KRS 212.755, inter alia, to create a public health\ntaxing district via operation of law in every county of the Com monwealth that has\nnot heretofore created same except in counties containing cities of the first class or a\nconsolidated local government.\n(2) In all counties where a county or city -county health department or urban -county\ndepartment of health has been est ablished, except in counties containing a city of\nthe first class or a consolidated local government, and a public health taxing district\nhas not been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 212.720, 212.722, and\nKRS 212.725, a public health taxing d istrict is hereby declared to be created upon\nJune 13, 1968, or upon the creation of an urban -county department of health. The\nmembers of the county or city-county board of health or urban-county department of\nhealth shall, by virtue of their office, const itute and be the governing body of the\npublic health taxing district and shall perform the duties attendant thereto in\naddition to their duties as members of the county or city -county board of health or\nurban-county department of health.
