{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.782","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.782","heading":"Establishment of independent district board of health and independent","body":"district department of health.\n(1) An independent district board of health and an independent district department of\nhealth may be established in areas where an existing district bo ard of health and\ndistrict department of health includes counties which are a part of an interstate MSA\nwhere the Kentucky population of the interstate MSA exceeds two hundred fifty\nthousand (250,000) people on July 1, 1989, as estimated by annual populati on\nestimates by the United States Bureau of the Census.\n(2) The county fiscal courts of any county within an area may by resolution of the\nrespective fiscal courts, passed by a majority vote of the members present, unite the\ncounties to create, establish, maintain, and operate an independent district\ndepartment of health as defined in KRS 212.780.
