{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.860","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.860","heading":"District board of health -- Meetings -- Quorum -- Compensation.","body":"(1) A majority of all the members of the district board of health shall constitute a\nquorum. The board shall elect a chairman and vice chairman and such other officers\nas it deems necessary for the board to conduct business. The district board of health\nmay elect an executive committee representative of the district, for the conduct of\nsuch business and the discharge of such duties as the board may delegate. The\ncommittee shall meet as determined by the board or at the call of the district health\nofficer.\n(2) Members of district boards of health shall serve without pay but may be reimbursed\nfor expenses incurred in connection with such service in accordance with state\ntravel regulations and the policies of the cabinet.\n(3) The district board of health shall appo int a health officer and fix his salary subject\nto the approval of the cabinet and applicable merit system regulations.","path":["KRS Chapter 212"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8691","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"e4dfc80fbb4c1c0072c7cc356e9300b2b5f42251c8ec11808b7268101f56ab1a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-212.855","next":"us-ky/krs-212.870"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
