{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-213.041","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 213.041","heading":"National uniformity of documents.","body":"(1) In order to promote and maintain nationwide uniformity in the system of vital\nstatistics, the forms of certificates and reports required by this chapter, or by\nadministrative regulations adopted hereunder, shall include, as a minimum, the\nitems recommended by the federal agency responsible for national vital statistics.\n(2) Each certificate, report, and other documents required by this chapter shall be on a\nform or in a format prescribed by the cabinet with due consideration for national\nuniformity.\n(3) No certificate shall be held to be complete and correct that does not supply all items\nof information called for therein or satisfactorily account for their omission, except\nas provided in KRS 199.570(3). If a certificate is incomplete, the state registrar shall\nimmediately notify the responsible person and require that person to supply the\nmissing items, if that information can be obtained.\n(4) All vital records shall contain the data required for registration.\n(5) No person shall charge or collect from any m ember of a family in which a birth or\ndeath occurs, any fee for completing and filing a report, or any other act or duty\nimposed upon them by this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 213"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50028","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"1997c60e404d39f6e8496ca978af0194f5fc0e094294955648013a95b7d4e4c2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-213.040","next":"us-ky/krs-213.046"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
