{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-213.096","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 213.096","heading":"Combination birth-death or stillbirth certificate -- Completion of form.","body":"(1) Each fetal death of twenty (20) completed weeks' gestation or more, calculated\nfrom the date last normal menstrual period began to the date of delivery or in\nwhich the fetus weighs three hundred fifty (350) grams or more, which occurs\nin the Commonwealth,  shall be reported on a combination birth-death or\nstillbirth certificate in accordance with applicable provisions of KRS  213.046\nand KRS  213.076. If the fetal death occurs in a hospital, the person in charge\nof the institution or the person's designated representative shall complete the\nstillbirth certificate, obtain the medical certification, and file the certificate with\nthe state registrar.\n(2) The  name  of the father shall be entered on the stillbirth certificate in\naccordance with the provisions of KRS 213.046.\n(3) All abortions shall be reported in the manner prescribed in KRS  213.101 and\nshall not be reported as stillbirths.\n(4) If requested by the patient to whom  an abortion is provided, the person in\ncharge  of the institution or the person's designated representative shall\ncomplete the form created by the cabinet under subsection (3) of this section,\nobtain the medical certification, and file the certificate with the state registrar.","path":["KRS Chapter 213"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52233","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:17Z","sha256":"332d1491b55e8ef9e9d06e8524da14f9ee8d6222eed8e74e50ef26081fbc6405","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-213.091","next":"us-ky/krs-213.098"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
