{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-214.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 214.560","heading":"Lung Cancer Screening Program -- Definitions and limitations for KRS","body":"214.560 to 214.564.\n(1) As used in KRS 214.560 to 214.564:\n(a) \"Department\" means the Department for Public Health in the Cabinet for\nHealth and Family Services; and\n(b) \"Program\" means the Lung Cancer Screening Program.\n(2) The Lung Cancer Screening Program is hereby established within the department\nfor the purpose of:\n(a) Increasing lung cancer screening;\n(b) Reducing morbidity and mortality from lung cancer; and\n(c) Reducing the cost of treating lung cancer among citizens of the\nCommonwealth.\n(3) The requirements of KRS 214.560 to 214.564 shall be limited to the amount of\nappropriations to the department for the Lung Cancer Screening Program.","path":["KRS Chapter 214"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52671","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:18Z","sha256":"41d1073ceb245f1a988efcbe9fc36794c4c9709b6aade147063b98612223bf3c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-214.556","next":"us-ky/krs-214.562"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
