{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216.520","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216.520","heading":"Supplementation of residents' rights.","body":"For the purpose of supplementing the rights of residents in long -term-care facilities, such\nfacilities shall take the following actions:\n(1) Every long -term-care facility shall conspicuously post throughout the facility a\nlisting of the residents' rights a nd responsibilities as defined in KRS 216.515 to\n216.525.\n(2) Every long-term-care facility shall develop and implement a mechanism which will\nallow each resident and the responsible party or his responsible family member or\nhis guardian to participate in the planning of the resident's care. Each resident shall\nbe encouraged and provided assistance in the planning of his care.\n(3) All long -term-care facilities shall establish written procedures for the submission\nand resolution of complaints and recommendat ions by the resident and the\nresponsible party or his responsible family member or his guardian. Such policies\nshall be conspicuously displayed throughout the facility pending approval of their\nadequacy by the cabinet.\n(4) Every long-term-care facility sha ll prepare a written plan and provide appropriate\nstaff training to implement each of the residents' rights as defined in KRS 216.515\nto 216.525.\n(5) All long -term-care facilities shall maintain in their facilities one (1) copy of the\nmost recent inspectio n report as prepared by the Cabinet for Health and Family\nServices.
