{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216.890","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216.890","heading":"Administrative regulations.","body":"(1) On or before July 1, 1989, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall\npromulgate administrative regulations to implement the provisions of KRS 216.875\nto 216.890, which shall include reasonable and fair standards. Such standards shall\nrelate to:\n(a) The assurance that PPEC services are family -centered and provide\nindividualized medical, developmental, and family training services;\n(b) The maintenance of PPEC centers based upon the size of the structure and\nnumber of children, relating to plumbing, hea ting, lighting, ventilation, and\nother building conditions, including adequate space, which will ensure the\nhealth, safety, comfort, and protection from fire of the children served;\n(c) The appropriate provisions of the \"Life Safety Code\" (NFPA -101, 1985\nedition);\n(d) The number and qualifications of all personnel who have responsibility for the\ncare of the children served;\n(e) All sanitary conditions within the PPEC center and its surroundings, including\nwater supply, sewage disposal, food handling, and ge neral hygiene, and\nmaintenance thereof, which will ensure the health and comfort of children\nserved;\n(f) Programs and basic services promoting and maintaining the health and\ndevelopment of the children served and meeting the training needs of the\nchildren's legal guardians;\n(g) Supportive, contracted, other operational, and transportation services; and,\n(h) Maintenance of appropriate medical records, data, and information relative to\nthe children and programs to be maintained in the facility for inspection by the\ncabinet.\n(2) Enforcement of standards pursuant to the adoption of administrative regulations\nunder KRS 216.875 to 216.890 shall not take effect until six (6) months after the\nadoption of such administrative regulations.","path":["KRS Chapter 216"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9143","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:22Z","sha256":"fc0cf4229f5d86e660d2f3f233fe02dd416168ca8c3576ac6c78ac417dd30f61","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-216.885","next":"us-ky/krs-216.900"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
