{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216b.0441","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216B.0441","heading":"Cabinet to license and regulate adult day care health programs.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"adult day health care program\" means a program licensed\nby the Cabinet for Health and Family Services that provides organized health care\nfor its clients during specified daytime hours, that may include continuous\nsupervision to a ssure that health care needs are being met, supervision of self -\nadministration of medications, and provision of nursing services, personal care\nservices, self-care training, and social and recreational activities for individuals of\nall ages.\n(2) The cabine t shall promulgate administrative regulations in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13A to establish health, safety, and treatment requirements for licensed\nadult day health care programs. No person, association, corporation, or other\norganization shall operate or maintain an adult day health care program without first\nobtaining a license as provided in this section.\n(3) The cabinet may issue a license upon request to any adult day health care program\nmeeting the standards required under subsection (2) of this sec tion and\nadministrative regulations promulgated thereunder. The cabinet may deny, revoke,\nsuspend, or modify an adult day health care program license for failure to comply\nwith standards set by the cabinet.\n(4) Services provided in an adult day health care program for its clients may include:\n(a) Medical therapeutic services; and\n(b) Physical and speech therapy.","path":["KRS Chapter 216B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9194","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:23Z","sha256":"b49221d348b73a694d3584dfe8b4c081c53ae94c0be4730ea176bc29d0da9564","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-216b.0435","next":"us-ky/krs-216b.0443"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
