{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216b.155","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216B.155","heading":"Development of quality assurance standards for health care facilities.","body":"(1) All health care facilities and services licensed under this chapter, with the exception\nof personal care homes, family care homes, and boarding homes, shall develop\ncomprehensive quality assurance or improvement standards adequate to identify,\nevaluate, a nd remedy problems related to the quality of health care facilities and\nservices. These standards shall be made available upon request to the public during\nregular business hours and shall include:\n(a) An ongoing written internal quality assurance or improvement program;\n(b) Specific, written guidelines for quality care studies and monitoring;\n(c) Performance and clinical outcomes-based criteria;\n(d) Procedures for remedial action to correct quality problems, including written\nprocedures for taking appropriate corrective action;\n(e) A plan for data gathering and assessment;\n(f) A peer review process; and\n(g) A summary of process outcomes and follow -up actions related to the overall\nquality improvement program for the health care facility or service.\nCurrent federal or state regulations which address quality assurance and quality\nimprovement requirements for nursing facilities, intermediate care facilities, and\nskilled care facilities shall suffice for compliance with the standards in this section.\n(2) All health care facilities licensed, with the exception of personal care homes, family\ncare homes, and boarding homes, under this chapter, shall use the application form\nand guidelines established pursuant to KRS 304.17A -545(5) for assessing the\ncredentials of those applying for privileges.","path":["KRS Chapter 216B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9228","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:23Z","sha256":"45fa8744d08ccc32289a7f25d0ead26080cb4d75367bab30989314ddafcd0cc5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-216b.153","next":"us-ky/krs-216b.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
