{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216b.168","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216B.168","heading":"Definitions for section -- PACE service providers -- Health facility license","body":"not required to provide PACE services -- Eligibility to participate and enroll in\nNational Background Check Program.\n(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"National Back ground Check Program\" or \"NBCP\" means the enhanced\nemployment background check screening process used by health facilities or\nservices that are licensed under this chapter;\n(b) \"PACE\" means programs of all -inclusive care for the elderly as provided in\n42 U.S.C. sec. 1395eee; and\n(c) \"PACE service provider\" means an organization that provides services for the\nelderly pursuant to and in compliance with an agreement among the provider,\nthe Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the Kentucky\nDepartment for Medicaid Services.\n(2) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to require a PACE service provider to\nobtain a health facility license to provide PACE services.\n(3) A PACE service provider shall be eligible to participate and enroll in the NBCP to\nperform employment background checks.","path":["KRS Chapter 216B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55559","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:23Z","sha256":"5a2d3d9cb6a1e45f568ae507d1687b2cb3dd8ba2b0d2136914600da1972f63ee","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-216b.165","next":"us-ky/krs-216b.170"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
