{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-216b.405","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 216B.405","heading":"Training to be given by urgent treatment facility and urgent care facility.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"urgent treatment facility\" or \"urgent care facility\" means a\nfacility that delivers medically necessary ambulatory medical care apart f rom a\nhospital emergency department setting usually on a walk-in basis.\n(2) All urgent treatment or urgent care facilities shall make available at least:\n(a) One (1) time every two (2) years a continuing education course relating to the\nrecognition and pre vention of pediatric abusive head trauma, as defined in\nKRS 620.020. Training in recognizing pediatric abusive head trauma may be\ndesigned in collaboration with organizations and agencies that specialize in\nthe prevention and recognition of pediatric abusi ve head trauma approved by\nthe secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services; and\n(b) One (1) hour one (1) time every three (3) years of continuing education in the\nrecognition and prevention of pediatric ingestion or inhalation of controlled\nsubstances.","path":["KRS Chapter 216B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57468","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:24Z","sha256":"da157d598c3fd91289f62b7de96ef86fc556664c9d8a0c8fd56cba354afc797b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-216b.402","next":"us-ky/krs-216b.410"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
