{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217.137","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217.137","heading":"Administrative regulations on home-based  microprocessors.","body":"(1) The secretary shall promulgate administrative regulations to accommodate  the\nspecific circumstances of home-based  microprocessors. In order to protect\npublic health while encouraging the marketing of home-processed foods, the\nadministrative regulations shall include, at a minimum, standards for:\n(a) Installation, design, location, and maintenance of toilet rooms;\n(b) Installation and maintenance of hand-washing facilities;\n(c) Manual and mechanical cleaning and sanitizing processes;\n(d) Installation and location of equipment;\n(e) Construction and covering of floors; and\n(f) Construction, materials, and maintenance of walls and ceilings.\n(2) Food  products that are  produced  or  processed  by  a  home-based\nmicroprocessor and in compliance with administrative regulations promulgated\npursuant to subsection (1) of this section are acceptable food products that\nmay  only be offered for sale by farmers markets, certified roadside stands, or\non the processor's farm. These food products may be used in preparing and\nserving food.\n(3) The  cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations to further delineate\nwhich  food  products are  subject to  the  definition of  home-based\nmicroprocessor, as defined in KRS 217.015(57).","path":["KRS Chapter 217"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48559","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:25Z","sha256":"f9964f462c768b6c8b1065f204b8a65560a95a6510f36e8aa1862dec76061fef","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217.136","next":"us-ky/krs-217.138"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
