{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217.560","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217.560","heading":"Unlawful practices.","body":"It shall be unlawful:\n(1) For any person to detach, alter, deface, or destroy, in whole or in part, any label or\nlabeling provided for in KRS 217.542 to 217.630 or the regulations adopted\nhereunder, or to add any substance to, or take any substance from a pesticide in a\nmanner that may defeat the purposes of KRS 217.542 to 217.630 or the regulations\nadopted hereunder;\n(2) For any person to use for his own advantage or to reveal, other than to the\ndepartment, or proper officials or employees of the state or officials or employees of\nEPA, or other federal agencies, or to the courts in response to a subpoena, or to\nphysicians, or in emergencies to pharmacists and other qualified persons for use in\nthe preparation of antidotes, in accordance with such directions as the department\nmay prescribe, any information relative to formulas of products, or trade secrets or\nother confidential information obtained under authority of KRS 217.542 to 217.630;\n(3) For any person to oppose or interfere in any way with the department or its duly\nauthorized agents in carrying out the duties imposed by KRS 217.542 to 217.630 or\nany regulations adopted hereunder;\n(4) For any person to handle, transport, store, display or distribute pesticides in such a\nmanner as to endanger man and his environment, or to endan ger food, feed, or any\nother products that may be transported, stored, displayed or distributed with such\npesticides; and\n(5) For any person to dispose of, discard, or store any pesticides or pesticide containers\nin such a manner as to cause injury to huma ns, vegetation, crops or livestock,\nwildlife, beneficial insects, or to pollute any water supply or waterway.","path":["KRS Chapter 217"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9387","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:26Z","sha256":"527cec232a596f1a3be77d425cd7b6cee286f01e3780e6b0f5779582f9330b00","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217.558","next":"us-ky/krs-217.565"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
