{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217.600","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217.600","heading":"When penalties not applicable.","body":"The penalties provided for violations of KRS 217.542 to 217.630 shall not apply to:\n(1) Any carrier while lawfully engaged in transporting a pesticide within this state, if\nsuch carrier shall, upon request, permit the department or its designated agent to\ncopy all records showing the transactions in and movements of the pesticides or\ndevices;\n(2) Public officials of this state and of the federal government while engaged in the\nperformance of their official duties in administering state or federal laws or\nregulations, or while engaged in pesticide research;\n(3) The manufacturer or shipper of a pesticide for experimental use only by or under the\nsupervision of an agency of this state or of the federal government authorized by\nlaw to conduct research in the field of pesticides; provided, that such manufacturer\nor shipper hold a valid experimental permit as provided for in KRS 217.542 to\n217.630 or by EPA;\n(4) Any person who ships a substance or mixture of substances being put through tests\nin which the purpo se is only to determine its value for pesticide purposes or to\ndetermine its toxicity or other properties and from which the user does not expect to\nreceive any benefit in pest control from its use.","path":["KRS Chapter 217"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9393","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:26Z","sha256":"cf344e269097a8bc50a739b59c9f8ac9364cb461422e13cca061f9065cc4f151","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217.590","next":"us-ky/krs-217.610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
