{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217.900","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217.900","heading":"Volatile substance defined -- Inhalation unlawful.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"volatile substance\" means any glue, cement, or paint or\nother substance containing a solvent or chemical having the property of releasing\ntoxic vapors or fumes which when inhaled may cause a condition of intoxication,\ninebriation, stupefaction, dulling of the brain or nervous system, or distortion or\ndisturbance of the auditory, visual, or mental processes.\n(2) It shall be unlawful for any person to intentionally smell or inhale the fumes of any\nvolatile substance, or to induce any  other person to do so for the purpose of\ninducing a condition described in subsection (1) of this section.\n(3) No person shall intentionally sell or offer for sale, deliver or give any volatile\nsubstance to any person for purposes of inhalation in violati on of subsection (2) of\nthis section.","path":["KRS Chapter 217"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9475","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:27Z","sha256":"c3ac4aede21af070e04bc1a0e4f3a323f2a3fc05f7d98bc3b6256a0ea7236b36","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217.896","next":"us-ky/krs-217.902"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
