{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217.930","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217.930","heading":"Definitions for KRS 217.930 to 217.942.","body":"As used in KRS 217.930 to 217.942:\n(1) \"Eligible patient\" means a veteran who meets the requirements of KRS 217.934;\n(2) \"Health care provider\" means a licensed physician, a licensed advanced practice\nregistered nurse, or a licensed physician assistant;\n(3) \"Health facility\" has the same meaning as in KRS 216B.015;\n(4) \"Hyperbaric oxygen therapy\" or \"HBOT\" means inhalation of one hundred percent\n(100%) oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased\nand controlled, applicable to the prevention, treatment, or cure of a dis ease or\ncondition of human beings;\n(5) \"Post-traumatic stress disorder\" means a mental health condition caused by an\nextremely stressful or terrifying event that is diagnosed by a qualified mental health\ncare provider using criteria as set out in the most recent edition of the American\nPsychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders;\n(6) \"Traumatic brain injury\" has the same meaning as in KRS 211.470;\n(7) \"Veteran\" has the same meaning as in KRS 40.010; and\n(8) \"Written informed consent\" means a written document that meets the requirements\nof KRS 217.936.","path":["KRS Chapter 217"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57615","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:27Z","sha256":"6e28bbfe39f4e69244222f456059a01c174a6f36948adebd5916ecb3d338f836","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217.928","next":"us-ky/krs-217.932"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
