{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217b.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217B.110","heading":"License or registration -- Late renewal -- Penalty -- Reexamination.","body":"(1) If the application for renewal of any license or registration provided for in this\nchapter is not filed prior to the renewal date established by the department, a penalty\nof twenty-five percent (25%) shall be assessed and added to the original fee and\nshall be paid by the applicant before the renewal is issued.\n(2) Any person holding a current valid license may renew the license for the next year\nwithout taking another examination unless the department determines that new\nknowledge related to classifica tions for which the applicant has applied makes a\nnew examination necessary.\n(3) No license will be issued or renewed unless certification is valid for the calendar\nyear or the applicant has met training requirements that will allow for a renewal of\ncertification within the calendar year for the license.","path":["KRS Chapter 217B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52885","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:28Z","sha256":"90c18ace831d8f60a764bd1789ecae048db2c1a037019e00e8a391ceb94e0d69","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217b.107","next":"us-ky/krs-217b.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
