{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217b.530","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217B.530","heading":"Operator licensing examinations for commercial structural pest","body":"management and commercial structural fumigation.\n(1) Operator licensing examinations for commercial structural pest management and\ncommercial structural fumigation shall be given at least two (2) times per year.\n(2) All license testing fees shall be established in administrative regulations\npromulgated by the department.\n(3) Examinations shall be given to all qualified applicants. No oral examinations shall\nbe given.\n(4) The commercial structural pest management operator's examination shall consist of\nno less than two hundred sixty (260) written questions and identification of no less\nthan forty (40) wood destroying organisms and general pests. The commercial\nstructural fumigation operator's examination shall consist of no less than eighty (80)\nwritten questions and identification of no less than twenty (20) wood destroying\norganisms and general pests.\n(5) The licensing examination shall be a timed examination. Five (5) hours shall be\nallowed for the commercial structural pest management examination and two (2)\nhours for the commercial structural fumigation examination.\n(6) The applicant must achieve a grade of at least 70% correct on the written questions\nand at least 70% correct on the identification to pass the licensing examination. The\napplicant must take and pass the entire examination to become licensed.\n(7) The commercial structural pest management operator's examination and all other\nstructural pest management license examina tions shall serve as the examinations\nnecessary to fulfill federal commercial pesticide applicator certification\nrequirements, including industrial, institutional, structural and health related pest\ncontrol, and the commercial structural fumigation operato r's examination and all\nother fumigation license examinations shall serve as the examinations necessary to\nfulfill federal commercial pesticide applicator certification requirements for nonsoil\nfumigation.","path":["KRS Chapter 217B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51127","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:28Z","sha256":"ac31d1345ee1b6c0554c62083ec84dd632df39ad209214cda9e8354d052a2c6a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217b.525","next":"us-ky/krs-217b.535"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
