{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-217c.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 217C.050","heading":"Cabinet's responsibility -- Allocation of funds.","body":"(1) The cabinet is hereby designated as the single state agency for the purpose of\ncarrying out a statewide milk control program within budgetary limitations. The\ncabinet may allot funds or contract with any local health department to carry out an\napproved milk control program in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. In\nthe event a local department's program is not maintained in approved status, the\ncabinet may assume operation and control of the local program within budgetary\nlimitations.\n(2) In the event the cabinet assumes the responsibility for any existing milk program\nbeing conducted by a local health department the employees thereof may, with the\napproval of the cabinet, be accepted as employees of the cabinet and assigned to\nequivalent classifi cations pursuant to applicable state merit system regulations,\nwithout examination.","path":["KRS Chapter 217C"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9584","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:29Z","sha256":"b81fe9b222164ca8fc087b91e60351759476a7366b58b85179e12efadd5f687d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-217c.040","next":"us-ky/krs-217c.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
