{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-218a.513","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 218A.513","heading":"Ibogaine research and intellectual property fund.","body":"(1) There is hereby established in the State Treasury a trust and agency fund entitled\nthe ibogaine research and intellectual property fund, to be administered by the\ndepartment for the purpose of allowing the department to enter into a public -private\npartnership with a drug developer to conduct a clinical drug development trial or\ntrials related to the use of ibogaine for the treatment of opioid use disorder, co -\noccurring substance use disorder, or any other neurological or mental health\ncondition for which ibogaine demonstrates efficacy.\n(2) The fund may receive state appropriations, gifts, grants, federal funds, and any\nother funds, both public and private. Moneys deposited in the fund are to be used\nfor the purposes set out in KRS 218A.511 to 218A.519.\n(3) Notwithstanding KRS 45.229, any unallocated or unencumbered balances in the\nfund shall be invested as provided in KRS 42.500(9), and any interest or other\nincome earned from the investments, along with the unallotted or unencumbered\nbalances in the fund, sh all not lapse but shall be carried forward into the next fiscal\nyear.","path":["KRS Chapter 218A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57905","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:31Z","sha256":"e7cd95f0cce5048909772f3d6626e509439d80b2b6c3f567cf7737e1270599b0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-218a.511","next":"us-ky/krs-218a.515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
