{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-218b.125","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 218B.125","heading":"Safety compliance facility and safety compliance facility agent --","body":"Permissible actions.\nA safety compliance facility or safety compliance facility agent acting on behalf of a\nsafety compliance facility shall not be subject to prosecution, search except by the cabinet\npursuant to KRS 218B.100, seizure, or penalty in any manner, or be denied any right or\nprivilege, including but not limited to civil penalty or disciplinary action by a court or\nbusiness licensing board, for acting in accor dance with this chapter and the cabinet's\nadministrative regulations to provide the following services:\n(1) Acquiring or possessing medicinal cannabis obtained from cardholders or cannabis\nbusinesses in this state;\n(2) Returning the medicinal cannabis to c ardholders or cannabis businesses in this\nstate;\n(3) Transporting medicinal cannabis that was produced by cannabis businesses in this\nstate;\n(4) The production or sale of approved educational materials related to the use of\nmedicinal cannabis;\n(5) The prod uction, sale, or transportation of equipment or materials other than\nmedicinal cannabis, including but not limited to lab equipment and packaging\nmaterials that are used by cannabis businesses and cardholders, to cardholders or\ncannabis businesses licensed under this chapter;\n(6) Testing of medicinal cannabis produced in this state, including testing for\ncannabinoid content, pesticides, mold, contamination, vitamin E acetate, and other\nprohibited additives;\n(7) Training cardholders and cannabis business age nts. Training may include but need\nnot be limited to:\n(a) The safe and efficient cultivation, harvesting, packaging, labeling, and\ndistribution of medicinal cannabis;\n(b) Security and inventory accountability procedures; and\n(c) Up-to-date scientific and medical research findings related to use of medicinal\ncannabis;\n(8) Receiving compensation for actions allowed under this section; and\n(9) Engaging in any noncannabis -related business activities that are not otherwise\nprohibited or restricted by state law.","path":["KRS Chapter 218B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54295","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:31Z","sha256":"25ea7c7d9bf00cc719a91b004c630d9c3559b3297b536cf0417457b5982e0ec0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-218b.120","next":"us-ky/krs-218b.130"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
