{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-21a.300","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 21A.300","heading":"Prohibition against solicitation of professional employment from victim or","body":"relative of victim of accident or disaster.\n(1) Notwithstanding KRS 21A.160, for a period of thirty (30) days following the filing\nof a criminal or civil action, or claim for d amages, or a traffic citation, injury,\naccident, or disaster, an attorney or an attorney referral service shall be subject to\nthe following prohibition. An attorney or an attorney referral service shall not\ndirectly solicit, or knowingly permit another per son to directly solicit on his or its\nbehalf, a victim of the accident or disaster, or a relative of the victim, for the\npurpose of obtaining professional employment relating to a criminal or civil action,\nor claim for damages, arising out of the traffic citation, injury, accident, or disaster.\n(2) Notwithstanding KRS 21A.160, an attorney shall not knowingly accept a referral\nfrom an attorney referral service when that referral has resulted from the attorney\nreferral service violating the prohibition established in subsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 21A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=20545","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:42Z","sha256":"0adf454fe7d771473d6e3dee2ce8c8184dc30794f5e582d4af3512de40addb49","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-21a.192","next":"us-ky/krs-21a.310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
