{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-220.205","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 220.205","heading":"Group insurance for employees may be provided.","body":"(1) The board of directors of any sanitation district is authorized to form their\nemployees into a group, or groups, for the purpose of obtaining the advantages of\nthe group plan of life insurance.\n(2) The premiums may be paid by the policyholder wholly from f unds contributed by\nthe insured employee, by payroll deduction or otherwise; or partly from each. No\npayment of premiums by the sanitation district shall constitute compensation to an\ninsured employee for the purposes of any statute fixing or limiting the\ncompensation of such an employee. Any premium or other expense incurred by the\nsanitation district shall be considered a proper cost of administration.\n(3) The policy may also provide accidental death and dismemberment insurance and\nmay contain such provis ions with respect to the call or classes of employees\ncovered, amounts of insurance for designated classes or groups of employees, terms\nof eligibility, continuation of insurance after retirement, and such other provisions\nas the board of directors may approve.\n(4) The board of directors is authorized to perform all acts necessary or advisable for\nthe purposes of contracting for and maintaining insurance under the provisions\nhereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 220"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9790","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:32Z","sha256":"cd49b0b75fca231d0263a060d377df6f9eea9d461b28dfd05faffa15385af12d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-220.200","next":"us-ky/krs-220.210"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
