{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-220.290","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 220.290","heading":"Contracts for work, material and supplies -- How let.","body":"All contracts for work, material or supplies that may exceed one thousand dollars\n($1,000) shall be advertised for bids by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424 within\nthe district where the work is to be done or the materials or supplies used. The contr act\nshall be let to the lowest and best bidder who shall give bond with approved and ample\nsurety for the faithful performance of the contract. The notice shall specify the general\nnature of the bid sought, the time and date bids are to be received, and wh ere and how\nmore specific information can be obtained. The contract shall be in writing, in duplicate,\nand shall be accompanied by or refer to plans and specifications for the work to be done,\nprepared by the chief engineer. The plans and specifications shall be made and considered\na part of the contract.
