{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-220.571","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 220.571","heading":"Assessment of costs -- Lien -- Payment -- Effect of nonpayment.","body":"For facilities designed to serve the construction subdistrict the district may, pursuant to\nKRS 220.555, adopt a method of assessment of benefited property on the basis of acreage\nor any other equitable basis set forth in the order and notify property owne rs affected by\none (1) publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the county of the costs\napportioned and the amounts assessed and levied on the various tracts of land liable for\nthe payment. From that date the assessment shall constitute a lien against the property.\nThe landowner may pay the assessment in full at any time within thirty (30) days after\nnotice of assessment; provided, however, that if assessments are levied in accordance\nwith KRS 107.010 to 107.220 the assessment cannot be paid in full within thirty (30)\ndays. Every property owner not paying the full amount of his assessment within thirty\n(30) days shall be presumed to have consented to the issuing of sewer or drainage\nconstruction bonds.
