{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-221.080","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 221.080","heading":"Refrigeration system -- Required temperatures.","body":"Every operator of a refrigerated locker plant shall provide a complete refrigeration system\nwith adequate capacity and accurate and reliable controls for the maintenance of the\nfollowing uniform temperatures of the various refrigerated rooms if provided, u nder\nextreme conditions of outside temperatures and under peak load conditions in the normal\noperation of the plant. The temperatures of the following rooms shall not exceed:\n(1) Chill room, temperature within two (2) degrees Fahrenheit, plus or minus, of  thirty-\nfive (35) degrees Fahrenheit with a tolerance of ten (10) degrees Fahrenheit after\nfresh food is put in for chilling;\n(2) Sharp freeze room, sharp freeze compartments, temperatures of minus ten ( -10)\ndegrees Fahrenheit or lower, or temperatures of zero (0) degrees Fahrenheit or lower\nwhen forced air circulation is employed, with a tolerance of ten (10) degrees\nFahrenheit for either type of installation after fresh food is put in for freezing;\n(3) Locker room temperature of zero (0) degrees Fahrenh eit with a tolerance of twelve\n(12) degrees Fahrenheit plus.","path":["KRS Chapter 221"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9879","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:33Z","sha256":"0acca40dd3b7009af01d7e0fc5c89952552a9c7b9ad3dc69af4f08724406df12","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-221.070","next":"us-ky/krs-221.090"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
