{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-223.055","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 223.055","heading":"Legislative findings on continuing education requirement for","body":"environmental health specialist.\n(1) The General Assembly finds and declares that because of continuous introduction of\nnew technology and changing concepts in environmental health, it is es sential that\nan environmental health specialist undertake a program of continuing education to\nmaintain professional competency.\n(2) Effective July 1, 1993, no environmental health specialist's registration will be\nrenewed until the registrant has submitted proof that shows satisfactory completion,\nin the previous year, of a continuing education program acceptable to the cabinet.\nThese continuing education requirements shall be determined by administrative\nregulation of the cabinet.\n(3) The cabinet shall pr omulgate administrative regulations pursuant to KRS Chapter\n13A to carry out the provisions of this section, including guidelines and methods for\nreviewing and approving continuing education.","path":["KRS Chapter 223"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=9962","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:34Z","sha256":"170a979d96e40b7b6e52ff4f5ae052dfa173caf73d82af6a0d1f13c2443bc41e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-223.050","next":"us-ky/krs-223.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
