{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.10-670","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.10-670","heading":"Administrative regulations -- Standards and certification program for","body":"analysis of wastewater pollution -- Data submitted by uncertified laboratory\ninvalid.\n(1) The cabinet may promulgate administrative regulations pursuant to KRS Chapter\n13A establishing:\n(a) Standards for the operation of laboratories relating to analyses and laboratory\ntests for wastewater pollution, on behalf of activities subject to 33 U.S.C. sec.\n1342, fees for certification and competency evaluations of those laboratories,\nand issuance of certificates of competency to persons and laboratories meeting\nthe standards established by the agency; and\n(b) A certification program for laboratories that submit environmental data as it\nrelates to analyses and laboratory tests for activiti es subject to 33 U.S.C. sec.\n1342. In developing the certification program, the cabinet shall consider,\namong other things, nationally recognized certification programs and those\ntailored for individual states.\n(2) After one (1) year from the effective date of the administrative regulations described\nin subsection (1)(a) and (b) of this section, all environmental samples collected\npursuant to an approved permit under 33 U.S.C. sec. 1342 shall be submitted to a\nlaboratory that is certified by the cabinet.
