{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.18-110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.18-110","heading":"Supplementary agreements -- Appropriation of funds by General","body":"Assembly -- Exceptions.\nAny supplementary agreement entered into pursuant to Article IV of the Compact and\nrequiring the expenditure of funds or the assumption of an obligation to expend  funds\nshall not become effective as to this state prior to the making of an appropriation therefor\nby the General Assembly, with the following exceptions:\n(1) The Governor may use special appropriations as are made available for emergency\npurposes;\n(2) The Governor may use any such funds as are made available to him by the federal\ngovernment or any other source specifically for the creation and implementation of\nsupplemental agreements under KRS 224.18-100 to 224.18-110; and\n(3) Where an agency of the stat e can better carry out the purpose for which it was\ncreated by the Legislature by cooperative actions with other states under the terms\nof this Compact, such agency may, with the consent of the Governor, expend funds\nappropriated to it for such purpose.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10339","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:39Z","sha256":"a6f0be492fe8b3d1db795738c9aa0df715102e9d8297eba14cab34aab6c24e6d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.18-100","next":"us-ky/krs-224.18-200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
