{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.20-510","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.20-510","heading":"Small Business Stationary Source Advisory Panel -- Membership --","body":"Compensation.\n(1) There is hereby established the Small Business Stationary Source Compliance\nAdvisory Panel, referred to hereafter as \"the panel,\" to determine the overall\neffectiveness of Kentucky's Small Business Stationary Source Technical and\nEnvironmental Compliance Assistance Program. The panel shall be attached to the\nEnergy and Environment Cabinet for administrative purposes.\n(2) The eleven (11) member panel shall be appointed as follows:\n(a) Two (2) members, who are not owners, or representatives of owners, of small\nbusiness stationary sources, shall be selected by the Governor to represent the\ngeneral public;\n(b) Two (2) members, who are owners, or representatives of owners, of small\nbusiness stationary sources, shall be selected by the Governor to represent\nsmall business stationary sources;\n(c) Two (2) members shall be selected by the secretary of the Energy and\nEnvironment Cabinet to represent that agency;\n(d) One (1) membe r shall be selected by the secretary of the Cabinet for\nEconomic Development; and\n(e) Four (4) members who are owners, or representatives of owners of small\nbusiness stationary sources, shall be selected by the Kentucky General\nAssembly as follows:\n1. One (1) member selected by the minority leadership and one (1) member\nselected by the majority leadership of the Senate, and\n2. One (1) member selected by the minority leadership and one (1) member\nselected by the majority leadership of the House of Representatives.\n(3) Members who were appointed before July 15, 1998, shall continue in office until\nOctober 30, 1998. The Governor shall then designate the members who have been\nappointed in accordance with subsection (2) of this section to serve initial terms as\nfollows:\n(a) Three (3) members shall serve in office for four (4) years;\n(b) Three (3) members shall serve in office for three (3) years;\n(c) Three (3) members shall serve in office for two (2) years; and\n(d) Two (2) members shall serve in office for one (1) year.\nWhen those initial terms expire, members shall serve in office for four (4) year\nterms.\n(4) Any vacancy in an unexpired term shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the\nterm in the same manner as the original appointment to that term.\n(5) Members of the panel shall receive no compensation, but shall be reimbursed for\nactual expenses incurred in accordance with Kentucky statutes and administrative\nregulations while performing official duties.\n(6) The panel shall select one (1) of its members as chair and another as vice chair.\n(7) Staff services for the panel shall be performed, insofar as practicable, by personnel\nof the cabinet.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10361","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:40Z","sha256":"a94fba9b90a4e804a6926e49f0b0388ea906061ec808559fd123bf340724f976","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.20-505","next":"us-ky/krs-224.20-515"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
