{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.20-730","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.20-730","heading":"Vehicle emission control fund.","body":"(1) There is hereby created within the State Treasury a trust and agency fund which\nshall not lapse to be known as the \"Vehicle Emission Control Fund,\" which shall\nconsist of:\n(a) Money appropriated by the General Assembly;\n(b) All money remitted by county cle rks which is collected for vehicle emissions\ninspections:\n(c) All money remitted by county fiscal courts which have been delegated\nauthority to implement a vehicle emission control program;\n(d) Money received from private grants or donations; and\n(e) Money received from the United States by grant or otherwise to assist the\nCommonwealth in any vehicle emission control program.\n(f) Money received from independent contractors as required in subsection (3)(c)\nof KRS 224.20-740.\n(2) The cabinet shall administer the vehicle emission control fund to achieve the\npurposes of KRS 224.20-710 to 224.20-765.\n(3) Money in the vehicle emission control fund shall not revert to the general fund and\nshall be exempt from the provisions of KRS 45.229 relating to lapsing of\nappropriations.\n(4) All purchases, capital outlay, and operating costs relating to the vehicle emission\ncontrol program conducted pursuant to KRS 224.20 -710 to 224.20 -765 shall be\ncharged against the vehicle emission control fund.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10368","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:40Z","sha256":"0304be78bfc935b22b7bf35ab01c8131b21e97f3aae81e385138d1a2814aa4dc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.20-725","next":"us-ky/krs-224.20-735"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
