{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.40-605","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.40-605","heading":"Training and certification of persons operating waste site.","body":"(1) The cabinet shall promulgate regulations which establish standards for the operator\nof any waste site or facility or portion thereof, whether publicly or privately owned,\nrequiring such operators to do the following:\n(a) Attend a training session concernin g the operation of the appropriate type of\nwaste facility conducted by the Energy and Environment Cabinet;\n(b) Indicate sufficient skill and competency for proper operation of the waste site\nby adequate performance on an examination prescribed by the Energ y and\nEnvironment Cabinet;\n(c) Pay a reasonable fee related to the cost of conducting training and certification\nsessions to be utilized to defray the cost of conducting the sessions; and\n(d) Renew the certificates of competence at reasonable intervals.\n(2) No person shall authorize or allow any person who does not hold a certificate issued\npursuant to subsection (1) of this section to have primary responsibility for the\noperation of any waste site or facility or portion thereof.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10407","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:40Z","sha256":"d4957e328b2e4b3029cc679ed8bf348a61c41ac50f256550fd1a49b9ed148f6e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.40-340","next":"us-ky/krs-224.40-650"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
