{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.50-410","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.50-410","heading":"Disposal of lead acid batteries.","body":"(1) No person shall knowingly:\n(a) Dispose of lead acid batteries by placing them in mixed solid waste;\n(b) Accept lead acid batteries for disposal in a landfill or an incinerator; or\n(c) Discard or abandon a lead acid battery in any manner except as allowed by\nsubsection (2) of this section.\n(2) Proper disposal of lead acid batteries shall mean delivery to:\n(a) A retail seller of new lead acid batteries;\n(b) A person who sells lead acid batteries at wholesale;\n(c) A permitted secondary lead smelter;\n(d) A facility which will recycle the bat teries by extracting the lead and chemical\ncomponents for reuse; or\n(e) A collection center which delivers to a smelter or a recycling facility.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10467","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:41Z","sha256":"79d51997b5264c20f61c3741c8719e028c47a910d1448b00b5f31e033aa1876c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.50-135","next":"us-ky/krs-224.50-413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
