{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.50-413","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.50-413","heading":"Duties of retail sellers of new lead acid batteries.","body":"(1) Retail sellers of new lead acid batteries shall:\n(a) Accept, if offered, used lead acid batteries, but the seller shall be required to\naccept only one (1) used battery for each new battery sold; and\n(b) Post notice at the place of retail sales that they ar e required to accept, if\noffered, a used lead acid battery for each new battery sold.\n(2) Wholesale sellers of new lead acid batteries shall:\n(a) Accept used lead acid batteries of the same type as the new batteries sold and\nin a quantity equal to the number of new batteries sold; and\n(b) Remove used lead acid batteries from the retailer's place of business no later\nthan ninety (90) days after the retailer notifies the wholesaler that there are\nused lead acid batteries ready for recycling.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10468","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:41Z","sha256":"159c6c05297cd8ad1391efa66d01924a9e2d9d6f2a73daf3880ea745ab3c25b1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.50-410","next":"us-ky/krs-224.50-420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
