{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.50-858","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.50-858","heading":"Registration -- Letter of approval.","body":"(1) Unless exempted by KRS 224.50 -854 or as authorized by KRS 224.50 -856(4) and\n(5), no person shall accumulate more than twenty -five (25) waste tires at a time for\nprocessing, transport more than fifty (50) waste tires at a time, or accumulate more\nthan one hundred (100) waste tires at a time without first registering and receiving a\nletter of approval from the cabinet.\n(2) To register, the following shall be submitted:\n(a) The person's name and address;\n(b) The address where the waste tires are to be accumulated or transferred;\n(c) A statement of the purpose for accumulating, transporting, or processing the\nwaste tires;\n(d) A statement of the maximum number of waste tires to be accumulated,\ntransported, or processed, and their passenger tire equivalents, as ca lculated\nunder KRS 224.50-862;\n(e) The rate at which waste tires are to be accumulated, transported, or processed;\n(f) A certification stating that the person has read and understood the\nrequirements of the waste tire program and will comply with those\nrequirements;\n(g) Financial assurance to pay for closure and corrective action as required by\nKRS 224.50-864 and 224.50-866; and\n(h) A disclosure statement required by KRS 224.40-330(2).\n(3) The cabinet shall approve the registration when the registration req uirements have\nbeen met.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10492","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:41Z","sha256":"f47e13baa33c5bfada376ca2cb0485dff7643077841b6fb07899e723c5b919bc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.50-856","next":"us-ky/krs-224.50-860"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
