{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224.50-874","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224.50-874","heading":"Recordkeeping system -- Receipt.","body":"(1) A recordkeeping system shall be implemented for a waste tire from the time it\nbecomes a waste tire to the time it is disposed, recycled, or used as tire-derived fuel.\n(2) A retailer, an automotive recycling dealer, and a person required to register as an\naccumulator, transporter, or processor who transfers waste tires to another person\nshall obtain a receipt for the waste tires. The final processor or a transporter who\narranges for disposal or recycling out -of-state shall return a copy of the receipt for\ndisposal or recycling to the retailer within thirty (30) days of receiving the waste\ntires. If the retailer does not receive the receipt from the final processor or\ntransporter showing proof of who took final custody of the waste tires and disposed\nof the ti res in accordance with KRS 224.50 -856(1) and (2), the retailer shall notify\nthe Division of Waste Management.\n(3) A person filling out a receipt shall provide the following information:\n(a) That person's name, address, company and signature;\n(b) The number of waste tires or their passenger tire equivalents accepted;\n(c) The date the waste tires were transferred; and\n(d) The name and address of the person transferring the waste tires.\n(4) A person who fills out a receipt shall keep a copy for three (3) years.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39681","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:41Z","sha256":"3b9e4e2016b5244a4837d492e2dfd73b3a26cc8aa21274a188e6e98f2cab8235","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224.50-872","next":"us-ky/krs-224.50-876"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
