{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-224a.115","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 224A.115","heading":"Legislative findings.","body":"The General Assembly finds and declares that:\n(1) Pursuant to KRS 224A.1118(1)(f)2., the Office of Broadband Development is\nestablished as the single point of contact and liaison between the Commonwealth\nand federal agencies with regard to programs to expand access to broadband in\nKentucky, including the National Telecommunications and Information\nAdministration, which is part of the United States Department of Commerce;\n(2) Under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Pub. L. No. 117 -58, the National\nTelecommunications and Information Administration has allocated significant\nfunding to support broadband deployment throughout Kentucky as part of the\nBroadband Equity Access and Deployment Program; and\n(3) The Office of Broadband Development shall prioritize BEAD Program funds for\ndelivery of service to the last mile of unserved areas consistent with the federal\nrequirements.","path":["KRS Chapter 224A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54504","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:42Z","sha256":"7dc0a0946352fe49670d4c4fbbdef5aab38031b16da84908c67ff5242611885c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-224a.113","next":"us-ky/krs-224a.116"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
