{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-227.470","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 227.470","heading":"Cooperative agreements between local governments.","body":"(1) Any action authorized by the provisions of KRS 227.450 to 227.500 to be\naccomplished by a city or county may be undertaken cooperatively by two (2) or\nmore local governments upon a resolution by the governing body of each local\ngovernment to do so. Such co operative agreements shall conform to the provisions\nof KRS Chapter 65.\n(2) If the governing body of two (2) or more counties authorizes a cooperative\nagreement, the individual cities within those counties do not have to execute the\ncooperative agreement a nd are deemed to be a party to the cooperative agreement\nfor all purposes unless, within sixty (60) days after the adoption of the legislation\nauthorizing the cooperative agreement by the county fiscal court in which that city\nis located, a resolution is p assed by a city expressing its intent not to enter into a\ncooperative agreement.","path":["KRS Chapter 227"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10665","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:44Z","sha256":"3565cb7b087ee951f4ecaa4ae0770da2f8becc8b4840d86014451e9636ff546d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-227.460","next":"us-ky/krs-227.480"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
