{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-227.580","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 227.580","heading":"Certificates of acceptability -- Requirements for issuance.","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any manufacturer to manufacture, import, or sell manufactured\nhomes  within this state unless that manufacturer has been issued a certificate\nof acceptability for such manufactured homes  from the department or its\ndesignee.  This  subsection shall not  apply  to  manufactured  homes\nmanufactured in this state and designated for delivery to and sale in another\nstate.\n(2) The department shall require that the manufacturer establish and submit to the\ndepartment for approval systems for quality control for recreational vehicles\nprior to the issuance of a certificate of acceptability. Certificates of acceptability\nshall be numbered and a record shall be kept by the department, by number, of\nthe certificates issued to manufacturers.\n(3) A manufacturer to which a certificate of acceptability has been issued shall not\nmodify  in any way  its manufacturing specifications without prior written\napproval of the department.","path":["KRS Chapter 227"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46968","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:44Z","sha256":"b0447e7b42524bcbf9be59cf19fe247beae6fadb21fcb59686459fa76ed46ed0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-227.570","next":"us-ky/krs-227.590"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
