{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-227.590","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 227.590","heading":"Administrative regulations.","body":"(1) The department, subject to any applicable requirements of KRS  198B.030(8),\nshall establish and enforce administrative regulations reasonably required to\neffectuate the provisions of KRS  227.550 to 227.660 and to carry out the\ndepartment's responsibilities as  a  state administrative agency  for the\nenforcement and administration of the federal act.\n(2) At least thirty (30) days before the adoption or promulgation of any change in\nor addition to the administrative regulations authorized in subsection (5) of this\nsection, the department shall mail to all manufacturers possessing valid\ncertificates of acceptability and retailers possessing valid licenses a notice\nincluding a copy of the proposed changes and additions and the time and place\nthat the department will consider any objections to the proposed changes and\nadditions. After giving the notice required by this section, the department shall\nafford interested persons an opportunity to participate through submission of\nwritten data, views, or arguments with or without opportunity to present the\nsame  orally in any manner.\n(3) Every administrative regulation or modification, amendment,  or repeal of an\nadministrative regulation promulgated by the department shall state the date it\nshall take effect.\n(4) Notwithstanding KRS  227.550 to 227.660, the department shall have the\nauthority to promulgate administrative regulations exempting manufacturers\nand  retailers from  the provisions of KRS  227.550  to 227.660  when\nmanufactured homes or mobile homes are brought into this state for exhibition\nonly.\n(5) All administrative regulations, including codes, fees, and charges, promulgated\nor adopted by the department pursuant to KRS  227.550 to 227.660 shall be\nprepared and filed in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A.\n(6) The  department shall have  the authority to promulgate administrative\nregulations to issue temporary licenses, not to exceed thirty (30) days, to\nout-of-state retailers for the purpose of participating in manufactured home\nshows in the Commonwealth  of Kentucky.","path":["KRS Chapter 227"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46969","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:44Z","sha256":"2007262fa2113dfb9d3e2d29c73f0d4751ccb19e852d648fcfad5d1e3e1cb071","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-227.580","next":"us-ky/krs-227.600"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
