{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-227.800","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 227.800","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in KRS 227.800 to 227.810, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction;\n(2) \"Fountain\" means all devices that artificially produce or contain a jet or stream of\nwater;\n(3) \"Ground-fault circuit-interrupter\" means a device intended for the protection of the\ngeneral public that functions to deenergize a circuit or a portion thereof within an\nestablished period of time when a current to ground exceeds a predetermined value\nthat is less than that required to operate the overcurrent protective device of the\nsupply circuit;\n(4) \"Pool\" means all swimming, wading, therapeutic, decorative, ornamental, display,\nand reflection pools; hot tubs; spas; and hydromassage bathtubs, whether\npermanently installed or storable; and\n(5) \"Public place\" means any building, structure, or location that is accessible to the\ngeneral public for business, civic, educational, political, religious, recreational,\nsocial, or travel purposes.","path":["KRS Chapter 227"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10713","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:44Z","sha256":"9ed6764158a17a4cdf44e323b1ada62a9477527c7223d7111e5fbbb0f7b446a3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-227.784","next":"us-ky/krs-227.810"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
