{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-227a.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 227A.110","heading":"Disciplinary actions.","body":"(1) The department may, following a hearing pursuant to KRS Chapter 13B, impose\nsanctions specified in KRS 227A.040 upon proof that the licensee has:\n(a) Misrepresented or concealed a material fact in obtaining a license, or in the\nreinstatement thereof;\n(b) Been incompetent or negligent in the practice of performing electrical work;\n(c) Failed to comply with an order issued by the department or an assurance of\nvoluntary compliance; or\n(d) Violated any provisions of KRS 227A.010 to 227A.140 and administrative\nregulations promulgated thereunder.\n(2) One (1) year from the date of a revocation, any former licensee whose license has\nbeen revoked may petition the department for reinstatement. The department shall\ninvestigate the petition and may reinstate the license  upon a finding that the\napplicant has complied with any terms prescribed by the department and is again\nable to competently engage in the practice of performing electrical work.\n(3) At any time during the investigative or hearing processes, the department  may enter\ninto an agreed order or accept an assurance of voluntary compliance with the license\nholder which effectively deals with the complaint.\n(4) The department may reconsider, modify, or reverse its probations, suspensions, or\nother disciplinary actions.","path":["KRS Chapter 227A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=10728","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:44Z","sha256":"1c3c8c6c0eff61321e83a741476a437acf9bf6e3a5d47718173309fa98e10610","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-227a.100","next":"us-ky/krs-227a.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
