{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-229.025","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 229.025","heading":"Administrative regulations -- License requirement -- License fees --","body":"License age requirement.\n(1) Every licensee shall be subject to the administrative regulations promulgated\nby the commission.\n(2) No person shall participate in an unarmed combat show in any capacity without\nholding a license issued by the commission.\n(3) The  commission shall establish through the promulgation of administrative\nregulations:\n(a) All license types, the eligibility requirements for each license type, and the\nexpiration date of each license type;\n(b) The annual license fee, which shall be no greater than:\n1. Five hundred dollars ($500) for promoter licenses; and\n2. Fifty dollars ($50) for all other licenses; and\n(c) The method for submitting all applications for licensure.\n(4) No  contestant under eighteen (18) years of age shall be knowingly issued a\nlicense or allowed to participate in any unarmed combat shows, nor shall any\nperson  obtain, or cause to be obtained, a license for any person under\neighteen (18) years of age to participate in any unarmed combat show, except\nthrough a sanctioning body authorized by KRS 229.045.","path":["KRS Chapter 229"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46085","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:45Z","sha256":"b7c1f504168acc3be98d4aea1b242186a7975192e0d9f7b389f0840f8f1fc8fd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-229.021","next":"us-ky/krs-229.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
