{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-229.155","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 229.155","heading":"Executive director -- Duties -- Interagency agreements.","body":"(1) To  carry out the functions relating to the commission's duties and\nresponsibilities and to afford the full experience and resources of the Public\nProtection Cabinet, the secretary of the Public Protection Cabinet may appoint\nan  executive director pursuant to KRS  12.050. The secretary of the Public\nProtection Cabinet or the secretary's designee shall act as executive director in\nthe absence of the executive director.\n(2) The  executive director shall employ  sufficient regulatory staff for the\ncommission  that shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the\ncommission, including but not limited to the following:\n(a) Complying with administrative regulations;\n(b) Issuing licenses and permits;\n(c) Establishing appropriate organizational structures;\n(d) Carrying out policy and program directives of the commission; and\n(e) Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n(3) With approval of the commission, the executive director and regulatory staff\nmay  enter into agreements with any state agency or political subdivision of the\nstate, any postsecondary education institution, or any other person or entity to\nenlist assistance to implement  the duties and  responsibilities of the\ncommission.","path":["KRS Chapter 229"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46097","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:45Z","sha256":"81f16a0c281799884521927709d99254aa58d9a00477eadcd3113317480017dc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-229.151","next":"us-ky/krs-229.160"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
