{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-22a.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 22A.040","heading":"Clerk -- Appointment -- Compensation -- Oath -- Bond -- Assistants -- Fee","body":"schedule -- Seal -- Annual audit.\n(1) The clerk of the Court of Appeals shall be appointed by the court to serve at its\npleasure. The annual salary of the clerk shall be fixed b y the Supreme Court not to\nexceed twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000).\n(2) Before entering upon the duties of his office, the clerk shall take the oath of office\nprescribed by the Constitution.\n(3) The clerk shall perform such duties as the Court of Appe als may assign, and shall\nbe bonded to the Commonwealth, for faithful performance of duty, in such manner\nand in an amount not less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as the Supreme Court\nshall determine.\n(4) The clerk may appoint assistants in the number  and at the salaries fixed by the\nSupreme Court.\n(5) The Court of Appeals shall adopt a seal. The clerk shall be the keeper of the seal\nand shall use it upon such documents as the Court of Appeals may require.\n(6) A fee schedule for services rendered by th e clerk shall be fixed by rule of the\nSupreme Court, except that charges to litigants for the reproduction of appellate\nrecords and briefs shall be fixed and administered by the clerk.
