{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-230.232","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 230.232","heading":"Establishment of internal corporate offices by president -- Duties -- Office","body":"managers -- Regulation authority -- Office of Charitable Gaming.\n(1) The president of the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation shall\nestablish offices within the corporation. Each office shall have specific duties\nassigned by the president. Topics addressed by the offices shall include but not be\nlimited to the following:\n(a) Pari-mutuel wagering;\n(b) Live horse racing;\n(c) Breed development and integrity;\n(d) Sports wagering;\n(e) Fantasy contests;\n(f) Fixed-odds wagering;\n(g) Licensing, compliance, and investigations; and\n(h) Charitable gaming.\n(2) Each office shall be led by an office manager, and the president shall appoint the\nmanager of each office.\n(3) Each office may propose the promulgation of administrative regulations related to\nits area of jurisdiction, but the corporation shall have final authority to promulgate\nadministrative regulations under this chapter and on and after July 1, 2025, final\nauthority to promulgate administrative regulations under KRS Chapter 238.\n(4) The Office of Charitable Gaming shall be responsible for making formal\nrecommendations to the president on the following matters:\n(a) Advancement of legal charitable gaming in the Commonwealth;\n(b) Recommendations to ensure the highest integrity of charitable gaming\nactivities and that Kentucky advances lawful charitable gaming;\n(c) Recommending programs and policy changes to ensure the strength and\ngrowth of charitable gaming and the charitable gaming industry; and\n(d) Monitoring and analyzing charitable organizations and technology needs of\nthe charitable gaming industry to determine how best to satisfy those needs.","path":["KRS Chapter 230"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58105","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:46Z","sha256":"a281cc0187c46ff4586fbf0a3d3ede036532b04a7a50090bdbba5cdff32f79e4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-230.230","next":"us-ky/krs-230.234"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
