{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-230.808","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 230.808","heading":"Sporting events that may be wagered upon -- Restrictions -- Procedure for","body":"sports governing body to request exclusion.\n(1) Sporting events that may be wagered upon include but are not limited to:\n(a) Professional sporting events;\n(b) College s porting events sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic\nAssociation, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, or other\ncollegiate athletic body recognized by the corporation;\n(c) Amateur sporting events;\n(d) International sporting event s, including but not limited to the Olympics and\nWorld Cup Soccer;\n(e) Electronic sports, e-sports, and competitive video game events; and\n(f) Any other event authorized by the corporation.\n(2) (a) A sports governing body may submit a request to the corpor ation to restrict,\nlimit, or exclude a certain type, form, or category of sports wagering with\nrespect to covered sporting events of that body, if the sport's governing body\nbelieves that this type, form, or category of sports wagering with respect to\ncovered sporting events of that body may undermine the integrity or perceived\nintegrity of that body or covered sporting events of that body. The sport's\ngoverning body shall provide the corporation with notice of this request in the\nform and manner required by the corporation.\n(b) The corporation shall request comment from tracks and service providers on\nall requests made under paragraph (a) of this subsection. After giving due\nconsideration to all comments received, the corporation shall grant the request\nif the requesting body dem onstrates good cause that this type, form, or\ncategory of sports wagering is likely to undermine the integrity or perceived\nintegrity of the sport's governing body or covered sporting events of that\nbody.\n(c) The corporation shall respond to a request conc erning a particular event\nbefore the start of the event, or if it is not feasible to respond before the start\nof the event, no later than seven (7) days after the request is made. If the\ncorporation determines that the requester is more likely than not to prevail in\nsuccessfully demonstrating good cause for its request, the corporation may\nprovisionally grant the request of the sport's governing body until the\ncorporation makes a final determination as to whether the requester has\ndemonstrated good cause.
