{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-230.817","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 230.817","heading":"Sports wagering administration fund -- Purposes and uses -- Quarterly","body":"reports.\n(1) (a) There is hereby established in the State Treasury a restricted account to be\nknown as the sports wagering administration fund. The fund shall consist of\nmoneys received from the moneys collected under KRS 138.552, 230.811,\nand 230.814 and state appropriations.\n(b) 1. The amounts deposited in the fund shall be used as follows:\na. Ten percent (10%) of the receipts shall be distributed to the\nKentucky Horse R acing and Gaming Corporation for the\nadministration and operation of the corporation. The corporation\nshall prepare and submit a quarterly report to the Legislative\nResearch Commission for referral to the Interim Joint Committee\non Licensing, Occupations, and Administrative Regulations or to\nthe Senate Standing Committee on Licensing and Occupations and\nthe House Standing Committee on Licensing, Occupations, and\nAdministrative Regulations, as appropriate, which includes the\namounts received as well as the e xpenditures against those funds.\nThis information shall also be included in the corporation's annual\nreport required by KRS 230.225; and\nb. Two and one-half percent (2.5%) of the funds shall be deposited in\nthe Kentucky problem gambling assistance account established in\nKRS 230.826.\n2. The remaining funds shall be deposited in the Kentucky permanent\npension fund established in KRS 42.205.\n3. Any interest accruing to the fund shall become a part of the fund and\nshall not lapse.\n(2) Notwithstanding KRS 45.229 , fund amounts not expended at the close of a fiscal\nyear shall not lapse but shall be carried forward into the next fiscal year.\n(3) Moneys deposited in the fund shall be:\n(a) Used for the purposes set forth in this section; and\n(b) Distributed as they are received on a rolling basis.","path":["KRS Chapter 230"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56035","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:47Z","sha256":"4355ec4f67df96e4f7c27be3171c3764c4261e630ec9e19d114faea5097f5037","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-230.814","next":"us-ky/krs-230.820"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
