{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-230.848","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 230.848","heading":"Voluntary self-exclusion -- Duties of fantasy contest service provider.","body":"(1) Each fantasy contest service provider shall include a statement regarding obtaining\nassistance with real -money gaming problems on the fantasy contest service\nprovider's portal, website, computer, or mobile application and on all marketing\nmaterials and advertisements of the fantasy contest service provider.\n(2) (a) A resident, or nonresident if allowed to participate in fantasy contests, may\nvoluntarily prohibit himsel f or herself from establishing a fantasy contest\naccount with a fantasy contest service provider.\n(b) The corporation shall incorporate the voluntary self -exclusion program for\nfantasy contests into any existing self -exclusion program that it operates on\nJuly 15, 2026.\n(3) If a self -excluded person participates in a fantasy contest, the fantasy contest\nservice provider shall report to the corporation, at a minimum, the name of the self -\nexcluded person, the date of participation, the amount or value of any m oney,\nprizes, or awards forfeited, if any, and any other action taken.\n(4) A fantasy contest service provider shall not pay any prize or award to a person who\nis on the corporation's self -exclusion list. Any prize or award won by a person on\nthe self-exclusion list is forfeited and shall be donated by the fantasy contest service\nprovider to the problem gaming charities or programs as identified and directed by\nthe corporation on a quarterly basis by the twenty-fifth day of the following month.\n(5) A fantasy contest service provider shall develop and maintain a program to mitigate\nand curtail compulsive play, which may be conducted in conjunction with the\ncorporation.","path":["KRS Chapter 230"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=58099","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:47Z","sha256":"669e0ffc5996ec46ed8408dc31ef2818610cd72c7ffc6284d9fa82fe10ee11b3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-230.846","next":"us-ky/krs-230.850"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
